A blind man sent his wife to vote for him but she was sent back by the polling Officers. The man who is not only blind but also unable walk sent his wife who was turned away as ECZ does not allow anyone to vote on someone's behalf. Thomas Sichone turned away at Chakupareza polling station in Mandevu because his name was absent from the voter register despite him having valid voter card and valid registration card.

His card was obtained in 2005.

Hilda has a valid registration card and a voters card showing correct details for Dzalo Ward Polling station Luangwa Basic School.
